Did you know that most furniture made before around 1998 is generally much stronger and made better than what is made today and was made in Australia mostly or Europe and will have a strong frame that will last a life time.
Unfortunately the furniture you buy now, in particular the upholstered furniture is mostly made in China and has very poor frame construction inside including cheap foam and webbing and will only last 2 to 3 years and is not worth reupholstering, which is why if you have older furniture you should really keep it and get it refurbished as opposed to throwing it out and buying new items.
Also many leather sofas,arm chairs and lounge suites sold today that are cheap and look great are actually bonded leather and not fully grain hide! What does this mean you say? It means that the tops are plastic coated over a leather backing which will peel off in one to 4 years depending on use leaving you with terrible looking furniture that has to be thrown out!
All of the leather we use is genuine full grain cow hide leather (leather top and bottom) and when used in conjunction with the Pelle Master care kit that we supply with all larger leather orders , your furniture will last you for many long years!
Unless you pay thousands of dollars today you will only be buying something that looks good for a short time before you start having problems with it. Even when you do pay a lot of money now there is still the chance that you will be caught out with something that looks the part but ends up giving you trouble within 12 to 36 months.
